Yay, I've finished my miniature Tapestry ... it's being posted tomorrow ;)

Cutting off the loom:
And finally finished ... though I just need to give it a press ;)
I've enjoyed weaving this one - probably because it's more 'me' than anything else I have done in the last 2 years of my Tapestry course!  It's a bit wobbly-edged ... but that's because I used a lot of eccentric weft, and took way more risks than I would have normally - I've decided that learning more is better than playing safe ... seriously, what do grades matter? (though I'd like to pass, thanks very much :P)

  1. brilliant and good to take risks. tell me, how did you finish your warp ends? that usually takes me some time.

  2. It took me a long time too! Since I did a complicated number of double half hitches and soumac on the hem, Cathy said I didn't need to worry about knotting the warp ends, just folding them over and catching them with thread to secure them to the back.

Shall I post the hem 'recipe'?
