tapestry progress ... and some gelati!

OK, I took a pic of my tapestry as it is right now ... excuse the beginnings of the third panel ;)

Lucky this sampler is a learning exercise ... my interpretations are a little on the dodgy side ;) The last one (from a Bruno Leti painting) is even more difficult - eeek!! We have a long weekend in Adelaide, so I'm hoping to finish it off.

Anyway, I decided to visit the gorgeous and inspirational Bella of Bellatextiles for some more wool for my next lot of dreads (to be installed in April) - check out the gelati colours I chose!

Rubella Ballet may have coined the term 'Day-Glo Punk' ... but I think I qualify as a 'Day-Glo Goth' ;)

  1. 3rd panel a beaut. I don't have your assignment list 'cos you're in the big kids class - so what's the task?

I finished my Basic Sampler on the deadline - http://mishanathani.com/tapestry-weaving/
and talking of weight, I'm down 9.2 kg since October. You sound as if you're reaching vanishing point - all we will see will be some glowing dreads drifting bodyless on to the Glenelg tram....

  4. Misha, you're doing really well too!! (both tapestry and health).

The original assignment was interpreting 3 paintings - I will post a copy of the original assignment when I've finished ;)

Dunno about vanishing point ... I'd just like to fit into my old clothes! :)
